Venus Press specializes in erotic fiction, be it erotic
romance or pure erotica. We publish all sub-genres, including fantasy,
science fiction, suspense, historical, etc. The story must be engaging,
with a solid plot and fully realized characters.
At this time, we are interested in aphrodisiacs (5000 to 9,750 words),
short stories (around 10,000-18,000 words), novellas (around 19,000-30,000
words), category length novels (around 31,000-45,000 words), and novel
length works (46,000 to 80,00 words). We prefer third person point of view
as opposed to first person.
These are the genres we are looking for: Historical, Contemporary,
Chicklit, BDSM &
D/s, Greek & Roman Mythology, Science Fiction/Futuristic, Suspense &
Mystery, Vampires, Shapeshifters, Time Travel, Fantasy, Magic & Ghost. We
have a special interest in obtaining stories that include light bondage
play, anal play and/or feature ménage fantasies. We are also open for
multicultural stories as well, but they will be placed within the above
genres as well as the "Ebony Side" line.
While we do not want to limit our authors, we will not publish anything
that would degrade women or constitute illegal behavior. That means that
sexual acts must be consensual, and must not involve minors or violence.
Necrophilia, incest, "golden showers" or defecation, and bestiality (with
the exception of shape-shifters and other such fantasy creatures), and no
knives or stabbing weapons inserted into any orifice, and rape as
titillation presented in a positive light are ALL not acceptable. Also, no
controversial subject matter. If you are unsure if your manuscript applies
to any of these, just email us and ask.
The Olympian Series-- books in this series must
feature a Greek or Roman god/goddess or characters within the established
mythology but need not be connected to the other books in the series.
Submissions should be formatted as any other submission at Venus Press.
Put "Olympian Series" in the subject line of your email.

Venus Press pays 35% of gross (the cover price)
for single author titles in ebook format.
Venus Press will be publishing in e-book format,
and later, our popular titles will go to print in POD format. Find
